Fresh from Hong Kong (maybe a little stale now) is the second wave of Marvel Crossovers – and finally I get to write about something that isn’t out in the US again.  Hurrah!

According to the current US release schedule, these aren’t due for release there till October, giving me at least one, maybe two months advantage over them and about two weeks advantage over Malaysia which received these via the usual suspect – Toy Workers – during the last week of August.

In a slightly uncustomary action, I decided to hunt down this new type of Transformer to see what they were like for myself.  Having previously avoided the Star Wars Transformers line because they just looked crap, I thought I’d give these the benefit of the doubt and see if they had fared any better.  The problem with the Star Wars Transformers was that whilst the vehicles looked quite good, the ‘robot’ modes looked terrible because they were supposed to be people and not robots.  Hasbro have even gone so far as to say that the droids will not appear in the Star Wars Transformers line, no matter how sensible that thought seems to the rest of us.
