One of the only none-transforming Transformers lines that I am interested in is the Robot Heroes collection has just released Wave 2 here in Malaysia.  It seems to have been a long time coming having read postings from the US that it had already been released there and checking Big Bad Toy Store showed that they have been in stock for some time along with Entertainment Earth; they haven’t been out in retail yet there though so I guess it hasn’t been such a long wait after all.

I’m not going to say too much on these little guys as they aren’t Transformers in the real sense but are quite nice little additions to have sat on your shelves next to their bigger companions.

These ‘Robot Heroes’ are very well detailed and, if you compare Sunstreaker with the Deluxe that also came out at the same time, Hasbro has done a very good job of making something so small look just like their bigger counterparts.  Galvatron even reminds me quite well of his original laser cannon incarnation (not the later tanks that Universe has adopted).  Even Blitzwing shows how closely the Animated version of him recreates the G1 edition.

A new Robot Heroes pack crept in to the shops yesterday; Robot Heroes ‘The Final Battle’ pack which contains 5 ‘exclusive’ figures of Ratchet, Jazz, Optimus Prime, Blackout and Megatron.  Each of them are different to the previously released twin-pack Robot Heroes in some small way: Optimus Prime and Ratchet now have ‘Allspark Power’, Jazz and Blackout now have battle damage and finally, Megatron is metallic.
