'I' On Malaysia

Following on from the Shell Ferrari Cars & Collector’s Garage 2009 that was released a fortnight ago, Shell have today released the missing two Ferrari cars from the 2009 Collector’s Garage.  Some Shell stations had already started to sell the F2008 before today’s official release date but most if not all hadn’t sold the Yellow Enzo before today…  Or had they?

Released today at Shell petrol stations here in Malaysia, and simultaneously shown to the press and media at a launch event in 1 Utama this afternoon, Shell have brought another set of Ferrari cars to Malaysian collectors.

Bringing together some new versions of old releases such as the FXX (Evoluzione) and almost identical versions as those which have come before such as the 599 GTB, there doesn’t appear to be much to shout about but these cars come with a new trick in that you can pre-program them to drive off and steer their wheels as they go.  Kind of like a miniature Bigtrak (if anyone remembers those?).

Following in the footsteps of their successful Ferrari car collections last year and earlier this year, Shell have just released their latest range of scale model cars based on James Bond - released first in Malaysia no less.  This time though, instead of being seven or eight cars from the catalogue of Ferrari vehicles, they have made deal with the producers of the James Bond movies to produce and release a set of five cars driven by Bond in movies past and present.
